MASTA

Who is MASTA?

We offer travel health consultations, vaccinations (including yellow fever), antimalarials and travel related retail items. MASTA (Medical Advisory Service for Travellers Abroad), was established over 30 years ago and we now operate one of the largest network of private travel clinics in the UK.

We have well established partnerships with Independent Pharmacies, BUPA, STA Travel and Flight Centre amongst others. Combined with our clinics based in NHS and Occupational Health establishments; we are growing faster than ever before.

An extensive number of locations combined with a variety of appointment times, ensure that our customers receive the vaccinations and antimalarials required, at times and locations convenient for them. We also offer a wide range of non-travel related vaccination services.

MASTA is owned by McKesson, a global pharmaceutical distributor and health care information technology company with more than 70,000 employees worldwide. For more details visit www.mckesson.com or visit our UK parent company website www.celesio.co.uk/

How do we work?

All of our customers can expect to receive a full risk assessment consultation, followed by the provision of a personalised travel health brief and then receive the vaccinations or anti-malarials themselves.

There are currently two ways to use our clinic services;

Travellers can either visit one of our partnering clinics for a face to face consultation, and receive their risk assessment followed immediately by the vaccinations

OR

Travellers can book a telephone consultation with one of our specialist travel nurses prior to visiting a participating clinic to receive their vaccinations.

Whilst many customers still prefer to receive a face to face consultation in clinic, we also cater for customers who prefer to talk through their requirements from the comfort of their home or office, before receiving their vaccinations or antimalarials in clinic afterwards.

Why MASTA?

Irrespective of how or where our customers receive their initial consultation, all MASTA clinics are registered yellow fever centres. We are also able to offer last minute, Saturday and evening appointments across the UK network.

Our clinical team constantly monitor disease situations and outbreaks across the world, bringing together health information from many sources and providing it to our own Nurse Experts and NHS clinics and surgeries. The result is that our award winning MASTA Travel Health Brief is widely recognised as an invaluable tool both to medical professionals and members of the public alike.

The MASTA Travel Health Brief provided for each individual traveller ensures they are fully aware of the additional health risks of travelling to their destinations as well as the vaccination requirements.

MASTA has supported over 1,000 companies and occupational health departments whose employees work or travel abroad. Our clients include the BBC, Rolls Royce, John Lewis partnership, NHS, BUPA, The Foreign and Commonwealth Office, The Metropolitan Police and The Ministry of Defence.
